Hi, My name is Mubashira, founder of Calissi: Made with Love.

Calissi was born from childhood memories stitched with love.

I was born and brought up in a small village, where life moved gently and every season had its own rhythm. Growing up as a 90’s kid, I was always searching for new ways to keep myself busy. One month it was gardening… another month cooking from scratch… and sometimes stitching tiny dresses for my dolls.

In our village, every season brought a new hobby for homemakers.
Between the house chores and afternoon tea, they always found time to create something beautiful — something meaningful. And we children, curious and enthusiastic, followed in their footsteps.

One season, crochet found its way into our homes.

Suddenly, living rooms bloomed with handmade crochet flowers, tables wore colorful doilies, and shelves were adorned with delicate mats. It was everywhere — and I loved it.

My siblings and I became a part of that wave of creativity.
We learned with excitement, practiced with patience, and soon, we had made enough pieces to fill an entire room. With childlike pride, we even held a small exhibition at home — our very first attempt at showcasing and selling the crochet treasures we had created.

Looking back, that moment feels like the first spark of something bigger.

What began as a simple village hobby…
became the foundation of the craft I cherish today.
